Draft Element is a small, hard-working Australian based steel detailing company.
Established in 2012 by Director & Senior Detailer Ben Smith, the company has been servicing both large scale industrial and mining developments.
By using the most advanced computer software Tekla Structures, we are able to produce the highest quality fabrication drawings and 3D models.
Our aim is to work with the client in a responsive and professional way to achieve excellent results.
With over 25 years experience in the steel detailing industry, Draft Element has the ability to manage a diverse range of drafting assignments from houses & retail developments to industrial and mining projects. No project is too big or too small.

Ben has been a steel draftsman for 25 years. Born in Tasmania, Ben started his career in a small local business before gaining further experience in larger companies based in Melbourne and Perth.
Ben specialises in both Structural and Mechanical Detailing.
